Enrolment

Enrolment is the process of becoming a student after you have applied for a course. Everyone must enrol – whether you are studying full-time, part-time or on an apprenticeship.

1. Apply for Your Course

Go to the course page on our website and click Apply.
We will email you with instructions on how to complete your enrolment.
If you prefer to speak face-to-face, you can visit one of our campuses instead.

2. Check Your Email

After you apply, look out for an email from us.
It will tell you:
- The date and time of your interview.
- Your enrolment appointment.
- Any assessments you need to complete.

3. What Happens on the Day?

When you come to the college to enrol, please follow the stages below. There are also some tips here on how to make your enrolment easy.

Stage 1: Welcome Desk
Arrive at reception and let the team know you have arrived.
Stage 2: Assessments & Interview
- Initial assessments in English and maths, if applicable.
- An interview with the course team.
- An Additional Learning Support (ALS) consultation, if needed.
- A review of your EHCP, if applicable.
- A BKSB online skills assessment in English and maths, if applicable.
Stage 3: Final Enrolment and ID Collection
- Pay any course fees or confirm your funding.
- Show valid photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence.
- Receive your lanyard and timetable.

Monday 31 August	Bank Holiday – enrolment closed
Tuesday 1 September	9.15am–3.00pm
Wednesday 2 September	9.15am–2.00pm
Thursday 3 September	9.15am–3.00pm
Friday 4 September	9.15am–2.00pm
Extended enrolment	From Monday 7 September, normally between 2.30pm and 4.00pm. Times will vary.

Spaces on certain courses may fill up very quickly, so you are encouraged to attend the appointment slot allocated to you.

Brixton Campus: Adult ESOL, IELTS.
Clapham Campus: Counselling, Patisserie.
All other courses: Enrol at the campus where your course is taught - see the course chart below.

You must go to the correct campus so your teachers can meet you. If you’ve applied for more than one course, you may need to visit more than one campus.

📄 Documents to Bring to Enrolment

To enrol, you must bring the following:

Proof of your identity and your status in the UK
Bring one of the following:
- Passport.
- Birth certificate.
- Residency permit, e-Visa or ID card.
- Home Office letter.
- Local authority letter (for asylum seekers or refugees).
Proof of qualifications
- Any relevant school, college or university certificates.
- Any relevant portfolio work.
Extra documents for adult students (aged 19+)
- You may need to provide payslips, sponsor letters or evidence of benefits.
EHCP (Education Health Care Plan)
- If you are aged 19–24 and have an EHCP, please bring it with you.

🤟 Need Sign Language Support?

We can provide British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters during enrolment. Please contact the admissions team before your enrolment date to arrange support.

📉 Didn’t Get the Grades You Expected?

Don’t worry – we look at all your information, not just exam results.
We will help you find a course that matches your goals and supports your future.

✏️ 16–19 Year Olds – English and Maths

If you are aged 16 to 19 and did not achieve Grade 4 or higher in GCSE English and/or maths:

You will need to bring your GCSE certificates with you.
You will continue studying English and/or maths, and these subjects will be added to your timetable.

💷 Course Fees and Financial Help

If you live in Greater London and earn less than £28,860 a year (before tax), you may be able to study for free, depending on the course.
Bring recent payslips or other income proof.

If your course is Level 3 or higher and you don’t qualify for free study, you may be able to get an Advanced Learner Loan from the Student Loans Company.
Our team will help explain what’s available when you enrol.

An enrolment officer will confirm the cost of your course based on your documents. If you do not qualify for free study, you must pay at enrolment or arrange an instalment plan.
