This apprenticeship is for people who enjoy working with information, solving problems and using data to help organisations make better decisions. It is suitable if you are working, or starting work, in a role where you collect, organise, check, analyse or present data. You may be in a business support, administration, digital, marketing, finance, operations or management information role.
What experience and skills will you gain?
You will learn how to source, collect, format, clean and organise data securely. You will develop skills in spreadsheets, databases, reporting tools and data visualisation, such as charts, tables and dashboards. You will also learn how to check data quality, spot patterns and trends, present findings clearly and explain what the data means to different audiences.

How will you be assessed?
You will be assessed through workplace tasks, project work, portfolio evidence, progress reviews and professional discussions. You will need to show that you can handle data safely, use suitable tools, communicate results and apply data techniques to real workplace situations. At the end of the apprenticeship, you will complete an independent End Point Assessment.

This apprenticeship can lead to roles such as data technician, junior data analyst, data support officer, reporting assistant, management information assistant or business intelligence support worker. It can also support progression to higher-level digital and data apprenticeships, including Data Analyst pathways.
