This apprenticeship is for people who teach or train young people and adults, usually in further education, sixth form, adult learning, independent training, community learning or workplace training settings. It is ideal if you already have strong subject or vocational knowledge and want to develop as a confident, inclusive and reflective teacher.
What experience and skills will you gain?
You will learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate effective teaching and learning. You will develop skills in curriculum planning, assessment, feedback, learner support, behaviour for learning, safeguarding, equality and diversity, digital teaching tools, English and maths development and inclusive practice. You will also build confidence in using evidence-informed teaching methods and adapting your approach to meet learners’ needs.

How will you be assessed?
You will be assessed through teaching practice, lesson planning, observations, learner feedback, reflective work, portfolio evidence, professional discussions and progress reviews. You will need to show that you can plan and deliver effective learning, use assessment, support progress and work professionally. At the end, you will complete an independent End Point Assessment.
